Problem
Traditional local marketplaces make buyers search through an endless stream of listings and make sellers compete for attention. A buyer may know exactly what they need while a suitable item is already available nearby, yet the two posts never meet.
FrothMonkey needed a marketplace designed around intent rather than scrolling: people describe what they want or what they have, and the platform does the work of finding useful connections.
Approach
Ascent Business Solutions designed and built FrothMonkey as a complete marketplace product. The experience supports both “wants” and “haves,” then uses AI-assisted matching to connect compatible posts and show the strength of a potential match.
The product also includes listing and browsing workflows, accounts, messaging and marketplace activity, auctions, and a trade-up experience. The public experience makes the premise clear: users can post for free, receive relevant matches, and decide for themselves whether a connection is worth pursuing.
